The Bennachie Hill Race took place on Sunday 29th October 2023! Well done all who took part in the tough conditions this year.

Aberdeen Mountain Rescue Team provide a volunteer rescue service for walkers, climbers and others who enjoy outdoor activities in the Cairngorms, and the hills of lower Donside and Deeside. They also can be called out to search for missing persons anywhere in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Course Statistics
At about 8.2 miles in length and with a total of 1500ft of ascent (13.1k and 500 metres), the Senior race is a great challenge for everyone.
In addition to the main (Senior) Hill Race, we also hold a Junior Hill Race for runners 13-17, which is approximately 5k in length with 150m climb.

In 2022 we had 138 senior runners and 12 juniors race round the routes.
